The Ashburton journeymen tailors and their friends journeyed to Sharplin's Falls yesterday, where a most en,l oyable day was spen'tr - The weather proved all that could be desired, and the party returned to Ashburton about 9,30 p.m., thoroughly well satisfied with the day's outing. Prior to the party leaving for home, three cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Ruddenklau, for the use of their grounds, and for the many kindnesses they had extended to the members of the -party.
