CHRISTCHURCII, February 26. The Hon. 11. H. Rhodes has received the following Txiessage from Mr B. M. Wilson, at the Hermitage: —

" Chief Guide Graham has just returned to the Hermitage. He found the body of Guide Richmond, but no

sign of the others. The party had been overwhelmed by an avalanche falling on to tho Linda Glacier from the top of the dividing range north of Dampier and sweeping the valley for about a mile. " Richmond's watch was smashed, at 4.50, which was about the time the party was expected to be in the vicinity.
