P.D.P. Bro. Steel was appointed the lodge s representative to attend a complimentary banquet 1 at Timaru. The McPherson Benefit Fund Committee presented their report and balance-sheet in connection with the fund, as follows:—Receipts: Proceeds of appeal to other Druids' lodges £60 14s, net proceeds of concert and picture show £32 10s Cd, donations £19 10s, interest 14s 2d; a total of £113 8s Bd. The lodge trustees had lent £40 on mortgage at a low rate of:interest, so that the widow and family were practically in a free home. As some further subscriptions had been promised, it had been decided to keep the trust account at the Building Society open for accumulation with a view to clearing the mortgage off. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, and a hearty vote of thanks passed to the secretary and committee. The business sheet for the coming D.G. Lodge meeting was then discussed, and the delegates (P.D.P. Bro. Gobbe and P.D.P. Bro. Harris) were directed as ..to the feeling of the members on the various proposals to be brought forward. , The lodge was then closed by the A.D.
