OAMARU, February 24. A young woman named Mary Goulding, of Uxbridge, went out on horseback on Monday night to bring in the cows from the Waitaki riverbed. She did not return, and searchers went out and found the horse, with the saddle wet. It is supposed that the horse got into a deep part of the river and that Miss G.olding< was washed, off. and drowned.
