A BOGUS EARL.
COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. HAMILTON, February 19. A further chapter of the exploits of Evelyn Hine Kitson was unfolded in the Hamilton Court to-day, when the accused, who had posed as' an earl, was called upon, to answer , a series of charges of obtaining money and goods on false pretences. It was stated that he traded on spurious cablegrams informing him that he was to receive £1000 on a certain date. Kitson pleaded guilty on all counts, and was committed for sentence.
