At the Magistrate's Court at Dargaville toMlay, reserved judgment was given in the' case of a man named Barbarich, who was recently charged with betting on the Dargaville racecourse oh January 14. He was fined £20 and costs, 17s. A man named Poynton, alias Williams, of Auckland, was fined £30 and costs ,on a similar charge, or indefault, one month's ;raprisonment. Ten guineas was fixed as the cost of an appeal. Supplying Natives With Liquor. Three men named Andrews, White, and Davis pleaded guilty to supplying liquor to Natives at the Tatarariki regatta. Each of the defendants was fined £20 and 9s costs.'
