OLD MAN'S SERIOUS FALL.
DUNEDIN, February IG. The police have been informed that Moses Hanrahan, a single man, 77 years old, who lives at St. Bathans, fell over the face of the Scandinavian claim, about 100 ft., yesterday afternoon, and was rendered unconscious, as well as sustaining a broken log and general bruises-' His recovery is considered improbable.
Yesterday afternoon while Mr Joseph Oripps, of Anama, was engaged in harvesting, 'the 1 ■■.horses he was driving became unmanageable and bolted. : Mr Cripps was knocked down and had a knee badly injured, and ; it ■was jfound necessary to obtain treatment, for him. He was brought to Ash&urtori, and afterwards admitted to the Ashburton County-Hospital. " !|
