DRIVER LOSES CONTROL. (Received February 17, 1.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, February 16. While travelling at 50 miles an hour at Los Angeloss, Dave Lewis, an entrant in the Vanderbilt Cup race, lost control of his motor, which dashed into' a crowd, killing a war veteran and m- 1 juring five spectators, three,,of w whom were women. Lewis's condition is i serious; he was pinned with the mcchan- , ician under the overturned car.
