DISCOVERED IN AMERICA. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) (Received February 12, 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, February 11. The skeleton of a prehistoric pigmy was discovered in the asphalt beds in the neighbourhood of Labrea. Local scientists declare that the skeleton belongs to the pleistocene (newest division of the tertiary formation) period. The bones of a mammoth bear were found near the skeleton.
