ABOLITION OF PENSIONS IN

At the Labour Conference, Mr Cullinan moved the suspension of the standing orders with the object of dealing w 7ith Mr Holman's recent statement in New Zealand that the conference was, in danger of being dominated by paid servants. The motion was defeated without discussion.
A motion in favour of the abolition of pensions for judges and others in high positions was adopted by 56 votes "to 14. ' '
Motions in favour of quinquennial parliaments, and that Ministers be not allowed to purchase on behalf, of the.., State, any business of a- value over £20,000 without the approval of the Labour caucus, were defeated.
