Sumner, whose real name is George Ball, was found guilty of murder, and Eltoft, as an accessory after fact was recommended to mercy owing to . his youth, and to being influenced by Sumner. The latter was sentenced to death, and heard the sentence unmoved. Eltoft,was sentenced to four years' imprisonment.
