NEW' PLYMOUTH, February 5. In theiSupreme Court to-day, a motion was anado by the Crown to remove William Thomas Jennings from his seat on the Waitara Harbour Board, * on the ground that he was mot on the roll of the AVaitara Borough at the time of his appointment by tho Government.

Tho defendant, who conducted his own case, maintained (hat he was the owner of property in the district when he was appointed, Ihe omission from the roll being merely a clerical error. He objected to pay~ tho cost of the action. Judgment was reserved.
