A DUNEDIN SUGGESTION

DUNEDIN, February 5. At a.meeting ""ol the honorary staff ■of the Dunedin Hospital on February 2 a resolution recommending'the establishment of a radium institute in Dunedin was unanimously adopted. This resolution was brought before "a meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board to-night, supported by a report from the staff, who pointed out that the Dunedin Hospital, was a training school for the future medical practitioners'of the Dominion, and should be equipped with a supply .of radium to meet all requirements. In view of the extraordinary monetary ■*■.' value" of radium, this was a matter of national and hot merely lbcal importance.
It was resolved to authorise members of the honorary staff 1 who will be in Wellington next week, tp_ approach the Government on the question.
