STRIKE FOR A SIX-HOUR DAY
(Received February 5, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY; February 5. The rock-choppers and sewer miners engaged on public works struck for a six-hours' day, but the employers firmly refuse to vary the existing working award. It is expected ■■' that the trouble will spread to all works.
