ELECTRIC LIGHT METERS.
To the Editor ; •' Gcabdian."
Sir, —I quite agree with Cr. Buchanan that the. Electric Light Company should be compelled to instal meters in consumers' houses. The Council must bo losing a considerable amount of revenue, as it receives a percentage of the Electric Light Company's charges for current sold. There must be something wrong, because it only costs a neighbour of mine, who uses four electric lights,, the same amount per month as it costs me for two gas lights. I hold no brief for either company, but; I consider that every consumer of gas or electricity should have a meter, all meters to be tested by the Borough Council annually, as there can be no doubt that some meters do not register correctly.
