■Replying to a Territorial deputation, Mr Asquith emphasised the unanimous testimony of distinguished officers and Generals regarding the efficiency of the Territorials. The Committee of Imperial Defence regarded ■ them as of the highest importance" and believed thb organisation was based on sound lines. The Government would meet all legitimate demands within the resources at its disposal.
