The "Wairarapa Age" says if the present industrial crisis has done nothing else, it has emphasised the necessity for the Government establishing a State ferry service between the North and South Islands.

At the Lyttelton Juvenile Court yesterday morning a boy who had ass saulted another lad who had tried to sell evening papers during the newsrunners' strike at port, was severely admonished by Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., and ordered, to refund 2s for papers destroyed. The Magistrate stated that the boys could strike if they desired, but should not interfere with others who wanted to sell papers.
