THE WEATHER.
About 9 o'clock' last evening light rain began to fall, and up to 9 o'clock this morning the amount recorded at the Domain weather station totalled three points. To-day was sunny and warm. The weather for the past few days has been ideal growing weather. About 1 p.m. at Tinwald to-day a very heavy shower of rain fell, temporarily stopping ' "the progress of the sale. The shower was not experienced in Ashburton. j : The Dominion Meteorologist's weather report for to-day is as follows: — The indications are for northerly winds, strong to gale, and veering by north to west. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, clouding over, with rain later. There are indications for electrical distui-b----ances. The barometer is falling, but will rise temporarily shoi'tly. A cable from Perth states that the temperature yesterday .was 104 degrees in the shade—a record, for the month of November. - ; ■;:
