WOOL SALES.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 21. A reporter called on a prominent! wool broker this morning m reference to the report from Auckland that wool is- being badly packed, and that sales m that city and Christchurch clashed. The broker said that bad packing of wool did not apply to Canterbury, where the wool was always well got up, buyers being m every way satisfied. The packing might have been bad twenty years ago, but growers had become educated nowadays. The clashing of sales could hardly be avoided, as m New Zealand many of the small sales had to be arranged to suit buyers, so that they would fit m with each other m the best manner possible. None of the sales m the North Island clashed, and neither did those m the South Island; the clashing was only between the Far North and the South. Buyers were busy men, and rushing at top speed all the time. They arranged sales and informed the brokers, who approved of the dates. If there was any clash, it was almost certainly unavoidable.
