SOUTH AUSTRALIAN WHEAT AND FLOUR EXPORTS.
The total quantity of wheat and flour exported from South Australia to all markets during May (The Advertiser says) represented 907;755 bushels of wheat, of which 104,100 bushels went m the shape of 2082 tons* of flour. This compares with 1,142,124 bushels shipped m May last year (wheat 753,074 bushels, flour 7781 tons). For the first half of the wheat shipping season, which begins m this state m December, the crop movement to all importing centres, including interstate, has covered 12,089,154 bushels of wheat and 31,544 tons of flour, representing m all 13,666,354 bushels of wheat. The return for the corresponding period of last season showed 7,767,770 bushels of, wheat and 36,914 tons of flp\ u - representing together j!,Bl&4?Q" bushels of wheat, or 5,052,884 bushels less than has been shipped away during the first, naif or the present export season The reason of the- groat difference m the figures of the two years i$ th.c. strong export mo.vcmt.nj) during- ihe early' months of the 1909 wheat shipping noriod.
