Costly Elections. ' New York, Nov. 18 Mr Hearst certifies that his expense in the New York election amounted to £51,000 sterling. Mr Hugheß* expenses are oertifiedat £124,000. Mr Hearst paid all his party expenses in connection with the election, Mr Hughes only his own.
