Palbieliston North, Aug 25 At a meeting held last; nigh b a Country Workers' Association wa3 formed with the object of i stablishing in i he diffeient centre s of the colony bureaux to afford information as to work obtainable, to promote legulation, to improve the living accommodation of country workers, to improve the social standing of the workers' and to promote good feeling between employers and employ«O3. Officers and a general committee were elected and tha Gxejutive was empowered to draw up rules acd regulations. Palmarstou wa3 selected as the headquarters of the North Island. Meetings are to be held in different centres ao an early date by A. J. Carr, the organiser.
