United Press Association—Per Electric Telegraph.

Feilding, July 17

Lewis managed to save a few books and sundries. A brick dividing wall between Mil3on & Coles and Cobbe's drapery establishment saved the latter building 1, although a little stock was damaged by water. For some time it was thought that the Star office adjoining Lewis's would ignite, but the efforts of the brigade were directed on the building whioh, owing to the high parting wall, was eventually saved. The insurances are:— On building owned by Cobbe in the Eoyal, .£1045; Milson & Coles's stock, Phoenix ,£SOO, Northern £300, National £200, fittings National £50; Haswell's C.T.O. £800 on stock in the North Queensland; Lewis's stock in the Law Union and Crown £100, Milson and Coles and the C.T.C. estimate the damage at £500 each above the insurance, and Lewis at £50,
