SHOOTING HOMING PIGEONS.
TO THE EDITOR. Si*,—Some time ago I noticed a few lines in your paper about a local sporfcaman shooting a couple of Homing Pigeons. I have been waiting to hear the case brought before theS.M. Court. Surely the ownor will not let this matter drop, as ib would show those sportsmen that it will cost them a few pounds for their trouble. I have been told the members of the local Flying Club will only liberate their birds for exercise, once a day, owing to above kind of sports being ready to drop them. The Christohurcb and Lyttelton Clubs have also lost a number of birds lately, and would be pleased to catch a culprit like our friend in Ashburton did.—lam etc.,' IHomkr.
