THE FRANCO-GERMAN AGREEMENT

In the Chamber of Deputies, M. liou•vier presented copies of notes exchanged, ■wherein France nnd Germany tgreed to Uphold, at the conference, the French treaties and arrangements, also the Sultan's sovereignty and independence, and Morocco's integrity and the economic open door. The expediency of the police and financial reform?, the introduction whereof will be regulated for a short period by means of an international understanding is also agreed upon. The missions at Fez will return to Tangier, and Franco and Germany will advise the Sultan of the conference and its programme. The statement was received without enthusiasm.
