Received July 5, 8.41 a.tn
St. Petbbsbukq, July 4
There is rauch indignation among humbler classes of Russians because, while memorial services were held unobtrusively for the officers killed in the battle of Tsushima, there was none for the men, this being due to the Government's desire to minimise the defeat. The strikers contrast the bad food given to the soldiers with fche champagne suppers of the officers. Work at Odessa has been resumed, Admiral Eruger left Odessa at the instance of the military, fearing that the troops would revolt in the event of a general meeting of crews. Vice-Admiral Chukpnin has returned to hia command at Odessa from St. Petersburg.
