The yarding at the Ash bur tan Yards today wai a small one, comprising some 1,800 sheep and 15 head of cattle Fafc sheep sold at about la!o rate?, while a decided improvement was noticeable in the prices obtained for some sheep. Cittle remained steady at late rates. Following is a summary of prices : — Cattiiß—Store cattle—Cow £1 ss; heifer 19. Fat cattle-Cows M 10s, M 12s 6d, £» 2a 6d, £7 2s 6d; heifers .£1 10s; steers £5 15s.
Sheep-—Store sheep—Crossbred ewes 14s 1 Id, lf>s Id, ha'fbred ewes 18s Bd, halfbred owes (in lamb) 203 Gd, crossbred wethers 18s 6d; halfbred wethers 17s Sd ; halfbred hoggets 14s 26*. Fat sheep-Halfbred ewes 13s lOd, 13s 3d, 15s lOd ; crossbred ewes 18s 6d. 19s Id; crossbred wethers 18a 3d, 183 6d, 19s, 2ls 3d, 235; halfbred wethers 17s 9d; lambs 17s 2d, 18 i sd, 20s 5d ; merino ewes 103 6d.
