Albert Jackson, ranger and dog tax collector, to Mount Albert Road Board, aged about 36 years, was charged with assaulting with serious intention, a pupil of the Newmarket Technical Sohool cookery classes named Pauline Durrien, aged 16 years, while she was proceeding to her home on a lonely road. The circumstances of the alleged offence outlined by Chief Detective Marsack, were of[a shocking description. Accused was committed for trial. Prisoner a week ago, was charged with indecently exposing himself to a number of school girls, all of whom identified him. The witnesses for the defence then eiitablished an alibi and he was discharged.
