Melbourne, June 21 Me Bent, addressing his constituents, dwelb on the financial outlook for the current year. He estimated the [railway revenue at .£3,576,000, the largest gross amount ever earned by the railways. Working expenses are estimated at .£1,833,000. After making provision for interest in full, and deducting £81,000 for belated repairs and recoups there will be a surplus to the credit of the general revenue of .£31,000. It is anticipated the State surplus for the year will be ,£4139,000, and for the first' time in the history of the State the loan redemptions exceed the borrowing.
