Napier, June 20 At the inquest on the Maori, Meta Herini, who was found dead m a I'olice cell on Sunday morning, the evidence went to show that deceased suffered from pleurisy and Bright's disease. A verdict was retnrned that death was due to natural causes. Dunedin, June 20 Thomas Scott, aged about 21, waa found lying on the footpath at the corner of Castla and Stuart streets shortly before midnight last night, with his thrpat cut, and a razor lying beside him. Tha wound is not likely to prove serious. Letters found m Scott's pocket prove that he belongs to Invercargill. Ou tho back of the envelope of one of the letters were the words " oood-bye, mother darling."
