(From our own Correspondent). Chbtstchuech June 16 The local grain markets continue m much the same position as last report. Wet W9ather has again contributed to the slackness of wheat. The following sales are recorded :—IOOO bushels Tuscan at 2s 7d at Hd station, 1200 bushels Hunters' at 2s 6d at lid station, 2000 bushels Hunters' at 2s 7d at 2d station. Good milling wheat i? quoted at 2s 7d to'2s 9d. The Niwaru took something like 10,000 sacks from Lyttelton, for the English market, to complete c.i.f. parcel sales. There is no alteration m the oat market.* Sales are recorded of 3GOO bushels Danish at Is 2£d at a 2d sfatiou, and 1100 bushels Gartons at Is fid at 2d station. Potatoes are m demand, and Early Eose and Derwenta are fetohing £® to i 25 5a per ton.
