The " Standard's " Suggestion.
London, June 14 The " Standard," commenting on Mr D.-nikin's views and Lord Selborne's Capeto * m and Natal scheme of naval volunteers, suggests that the soundest plan is for each part of the Empire to provide generously tor passive resist anca, giving harder knocks than it receives, and to make such contributions m money, ships, or men ns will enable the Admiralty afc the shortest notice to concentrate an overwhelming force at a probable poinc of attack.
