Wool and Skin Sales. The ordinary fortnightly sale of wool, fat, aud skins was conducted this morning at the yards of the various auctioneers. Buyers were strongly in evidence and competition for all classos of skin wan keen and the large entry was disposed of fit rates ruling at the last sale. Telephone Extension.—A gang of men, under Lineman Sage, are busy erecting poles to carry a telephone wire to the house of the caretaker of the Wakaaus Creek intake on Alford Forest Eoad.
