Press Association— H y Fllectrio Telegraph ' < • Wellington, June 7 The balance shoat of tho Bank of N.Z. for the year ended 31st March last, states that the profits, after providing for expenses of management, bad and doubtful debts, annual donation to provident fund and bonus to the staff, are £320,908. From this has to be deducted the interest on gaaranteed stock, From the! balance the directors have taken £12,600 as reduction on bank premises and furniture and £2 500 as reduction on Colonial bank property, leaving a balance of £253 930, which proposed to be disposed of »8 follows: -Statutory (payment to Assets Boards, £50,0.00; dividend of 6 per cent £500,000, preference shares £25,000; dividend of 5 per cent on share capital £22,618; leaving a surplus payable to the Assets Kealisation Board of £156,d11.
