Ashburton Grain Market.
Market report for week ending June 2nd, 1905 :— Wheat—Owing to the better tone of the Home market, and the available space for shipping, merchants have been busily engaged in buying up all grain offering at lowest current rates for Home shipment. This, as anticipated, has forced the millers into the market, and there has boen good enquiry all round for extra prime milling quality has advanced slightly in price, which ha« further firmed the market all round. We quote to-day :—Tuscan 2s 7d to 2s Bd> Pearl 2s 6d to 2s 7d, Hunters 2s 6d to 2 3 6£d. Oats—Very few are now on offer. Any lines available are met with ready sale. Milling oats are especially in demand, while many orders are being passed for short feed through scarcity of stocks. We quote as follows :—Canadians Is 7d to Is Bd, Gartons and Unns Is 6jd to ]s 7. Danish Is 4d to Is fkl. *
