The Test Matches.
London, May 27 The Board of Control for the test matches met at Lords this afternoon to consider a letter from the Australians requesting thab screens should be placed behind both wickets at the test matches, and asking that hits to the ropes should count as four, and over the ropos as six. Letters were also read from the Notts Committee objecting to the screens, unless the Board ordered them, and from the Marylebone Club stating that a screen at the pavilion end at Lords would bo impracticable. The Board decided not to interfere with the discretion of the local management m either mrfcter.
