The Australian Federal Act is now m operation. Hitherto m order to secure an Australian cover, six applications were necesaary. Now' only one \a required. The cost i§ about one-third what it used to be. Full information may be obtained from HENRY HUGHES' OFFICE where Mr Newton, an Australian registered patent attorney may be consulted at all time?. Mr Newton has just returned from a visit; to Australia, and is fully posted m the latest developments there. The Act provides for the extension of States patents to the Commonwealth. Thus, say you hold a Victorian patent, you you can APPLY TO EXTEND that patent to cover Australia at a comparatively trifling cost. It should be noted that this is the only Patent Office m Canterbury that is equippad to" complete mveiitors' instructions at first hand.
