Accidents and Fatalities.
United Press Association—By Eleofcric Telegraph. Dunedin, May 18 Charles Moran, aged 50 years, was killed this evening by being struck by an electric tramcar in North-Easfc Valley. The statement of those who saw the occurrence is to the effect that the man was under the influence of liquor. He lurched out from Leith Walk just aa tbejtram was passing, and was knocked down and killed. Gretmotjth, May 19 A serious break occurred in the Blackball coal jerial line yesterday, which will stop work at the mines for some time. The line broke, and over thirty travelling tracks ■were smashed. The Hoe is getting much ■worse. There ig much discontent in the district at the delay in completing a short piece of railway required to connect the pit's month with the main lino.
