Sale of Thoroughbred Horses.

Messrs Friedlander Bros., Ltd., to-day conducted a sale of thoroughbred colts and fillies, on account of Mr Hugo Friendlander, who is giving up racing, intending for the future to confine his attention to breeding. Although there was a large attendance of breeders and owners of racing stook, bidding was slow, thoroughbred horses being m many cases sold at prices whioh would disgrace the poorest kind of hack. In one case, that of the gelding Petard 4yre, a horse which cost £640 as a yearling was disposed of for lOgs. Following are results of the sale:—■ Bay filly, by Finland—Wheedler, 32gns, Mr J. Or.
