London, May 8 . DiebogatoEE's speed is only seven knots. His ship 3 apparently need coal and overhauling. Russian advices from Fenghuahshien state that the Japanese are concentrating their principal forces along the Liao, with outposts near Palitun and northwards to Papaotun. The Japanese cavalry on the 4th, supported by infantry, took the offensive, and forced the Russians back to Hsiaonchengtzu Station. A Eussian Chasseur detachment fell into an ambush at Ershulipu, and sustained fifteen casualties.
