United Press Association—Per Electric Telegraph—Copy right Noumea, May 7 The Almedia, a Norwegian ship in ballast, bound from Melbourne to ftehoue to load chrome, ran ashore on the main reef at the south end of the island last Wednesday. The captain and five of the crew arrived in the lifeboat to-day, and the rest of the crew followed in three boats. The vessel is half full of water, and will probably be a total wreck.
