Wellington, May 4 The Department of Industries and Commerce have received the following cable, gram from the Agent General dated, London, May 3rd:—There is great competition at the wool sales, there being a large American demand for fine and medium crossbreds, all grades of whiohhave advanced Id on closing rates of last sales. Coarse crosabreds of all grades and merinoa have advanced The market is much stronger.
