Napier, May 2 The Supreme Court was occupied all day m hearing charges against Edward Masters of attempting to murder his wife at Hastings and to commit suicide. Gisbornk, May 1 Mary Keeney was acquitted on the charge of murder of her infant. In answer to the charge she sobbingly replied, "I'm guilty," but after consultation with her counsel the charge was again put, and a plea of not gailty was put m. After half au hour's retirement the jury brought m a verdiot of not guilty. Wi Pahi Korau, an old offender, was sentenced to three yearß* imprisonment for horse-stealing.
