Accidents and Fatalities.
United Pres3 Association— By Electric Telegraph. Chriptchurch, April 29 An old age pensioner, named Joseph Gibbs, 77 years of age, was found dead in bed this morning. Death was due to heart disease, Chetstchurch, May 1. A man named James McMaster cut his throat in a boarding house in Lyttelton yesterday. He was 55 years of age and a single man. He waa employed as a wheelwright, No reason is given for the aot. Dunemn, May 1 While on their way to a fire on Saturday sight ten firemen on a reel were thrown out owing to the carriage wheels skidding on the tram rails. The occupants of the reel were more or less bruiaed.
