Wpivding.—A very pretty wedding was celebrated on April 20th m the Flemington Presbyterian Church, which was nicely decorated for the occasion. The contracting parties wore Mr J. McLauchlan, eldest son of Mr W. MoLauchian, of Waterton, and Miss A. Shearer, eldest daughter of Mr J. Shuarer, of Wheatstone. In spite of the wab weather the church was crowded. The Rev, J. C. Paterson performed the cornniony. The bride, who was given away by hor father, was charmingly dresaed m ivory white satin. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a handsome Bhower bouquet. The bridegroom's gift to the bride w<*s a beautiful star pendant, studded with diamonds and pearls. The bridesmaids were her sisters, Misses M. and S. Shearer. The bridegroom's gifts to the bridesmaids were gold chains and pendants, studded with sapphire 3 and pearls. Miss Doreen Gilmour made a charming little flower girl. The I bridegroom was attended by Mr J. Sinclair as best man, and Mr Peter Shearer as groomsman. After the ceremony the happy couple with the goesta drove to Mr Shearer's residence at Wheatstone, where a sumptuous breakfast was laid m the large grain Bhed. Toasts were propoßed and heartily honoured, after which the happy couple left for Eotorua. In the evening the young people engaged m dancing and other amusements. Messrs W. Bain and Co., have guns and ammunition at lowest prices.
