Refusing to Sail with Contraband.
London, April 19 Eleven seamen were arraigned at Bombay for refusing to sail because the steamer " Kiversdale" was carrying to Kobe/raw cotton which they declare was contraband. They were acquitted. . Thirty-six sailor 3 on the colliers St. Helena, Ba^tlesea, and Bridge were sentenced to fchiee weeks' imprisonment at Hongkong, for refusing to proceed to Japan with contraband. A movement ha 3 been initiated m England to demand their instant release.
