Advertising New Zealand.

There is at present on the Order Paper of the House of Representatives, a question of which Mr "Rutherford has given notice, with the viow of eliciting who is responsible for advertising in British newspapers that there are two million acres of land open for settlement by formers in New Zealand. We notice that the advertisement in question in appearing in the " Weekly Scotsman," and is coached in the following terms:—New Zealand. Two millions acres land open for. settlement by larmers. (St ck can be kept out all the year round), aDcl grain growing, (highest return per acre in the world.) No serious drought ever experienced. State schools with free education. State-owned railways. Suitable British immigrants welcomed. Passages at reduced fares by the Shaw, SaviU, and New Zealand Shipping Cds steamers granted to small capitalists.
