Watt, Presbyterian missionary in the New Hebrides, states that trouble has occurred at Epi, between French residents and Mr Trurable, an English settler. The French pulled down the British flag in Trumblo's residence. Captain Rason is inquiring into .the matter.? The Federal Ministry. Melbourne, Sept. 25 The " Argua " says that Mr Dealcin will not have the personal ascendancy over the Cabinet that Sir E. Barton enjoyed. The Government has little hope of escape from the subjection o£ the Labor, party with Mr Deikin as its head. There are few lengths to which the Labor party would go that he would not willingly follow. The Ministry, by the withdrawals, has lo3t strength to a Tery dangerous extent. The "Age" is joyful over possessing a Victorian Prime Minister.
