■ ■ * • The return fqotball inafcch Canterbury 7 South Canterbury took place on the Athletic Grounds, Timaru, yestorday afternoon, and resulted in a win for Canterbury foy 9 points, to 6 points. The junior final of the seven;a-sida tournament took place yesterday afternoon on the Domain, aud after an evenly contested game, resulted in a victory for the Southern Cro3B team by the narrow margin of half a point. No Bcore was obtained*in the time allowed, and on playing on longef the "Cross" team forced their opponents to touch down. Mr F. Fritchard made an impartial referee. Later- in the. afternoon Excelsior II fifteen and SQuthern Cross IT fifteen tried @ inclusions, and a good game was won by the latter, vthopotted a goal from the field. ■■ ~
