DO GROCEKS LITE LONG ? Since the publication of an article in our columns bearing the above heading we have received a number of Setters in reference thereto< Borne correspondents say "Yea" and others "No" in answer to the query. But the most forcible (and to our mind the moat valuable) letter on the subject is that received from Mr F Gr. Thomas, manager of a large Grocerg Emporium in Queanbeyan, N.S.W,:— "Under certain conditions (sbjb he) grocers do live long. Take my own case. As a result of worry and overwork, I soms years ago became oonsUTiptive, had a dry hacking cough, suffered from shortness of breath, and pains in the chest and shoulders ; ab times I was feverish. My face became white and thin and I lost fl«sh greatiy. A clever doctor declared me both consumptive and asthmatioal, and cautioned me to take every cure of myself, otherwise, he said, tho ailment would end fatally, Notwithstanding his treatment I did not permanently improve The cough gave me great trouble; at night I would sib up in bed gasping for breath. I tried many supposed remedies witbont success, and the spring of '97 proved a bad time for me; I became weaker and more despondent than ever. At this stage a gentleman who had been curod by Dr. Williams' pink pills recommended them bo earnestly that (seeing him well and strong) I gladly commensed them The first few boxes made a decided improvement, and adhering closely to the directions I continued them until qnite cared. Consumption and athma have left roe for ever, and I am stronger and more robuat looking than I wag even before con-> tracking my ailments. All despondency has likewise gone, and as it ia two years since I n,3edDr. WilHams' pink pills my cure is evidently permanent."
